Legal Access to Medical Cannabis
We, like thousands of families in Mexico, have lived the experience of seeing conventional drugs lose the effectiveness needed to control refractory epilepsy or other diagnoses that deteriorate the body, mind, emotions and quality of life of our daughters and sons. These same diagnoses also put our families at a disadvantage due to the high physical, emotional and economic costs associated with the disease. In desperation, we decided to turn to the last option we had: cannabis.
Cannabis, in addition to helping our daughters and sons, has led us to be part of the milestones in the recent history of its regulation for medicinal purposes in our country. Together with patients, families, activists and civil society organizations, we continue to inform, advocate and seek options so that all patients who require it can have legal access to the plant and its derivatives.
